The final score was BAS 79 for 8, with MCC winning the day with 98 for 8. The MCC (Mixed Conservationist Cricketers) team consisted of players from BirdLife, UNEP-WCMC, JNCC, FFI and MK Dons. Chris Mills and Mike Crosby proved to be a winning partnership and both retired with 25 runs.  Martin is still miffed that his opening "6" was awarded a 4 and Yves made a sparkling debut, showing that despite not having played cricket before, he certainly knew how to hit a ball - for a few minutes anyway!!

Dirk Briggs (BAS) and Chris Magin (RSPB) deserve a big thank you for organising the event and scraping the teams together after 6 weeks of "gentle persuasion" - and also for the glorious weather! Also thanks to Gina's husband, Graham, for his umpiring skills and excellent arm waving.
