News Story - British Antarctic Survey takes part in the National Engineering & Construction Recruitment Exhibition 2015

British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is recruiting for engineers and construction workers at this year's National Engineering & Construction Recruitment Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April.
Ice Coring engineer Dr Julius Rix, will talk about 'Engineering in a Cold Climate' and describe his experience of working with scientists to design a new drill to extract ice cores more efficiently - in temperatures as low as -25 degrees C. His talk takes place on Friday 24 April at 2.30pm.
BAS Director of Operations, Tim Stockings, who is attending the show says: "We are delighted to be exhibiting for the third time at this national exhibition. It enables us to take our Antarctic jobs to a range of people who may never have thought about the possibility of working as an engineer or in a construction role in Antarctica. It's an opportunity to support leading polar science and to work as part of a very special team in a totally unique environment."
